Madeleine Slavick is a writer and photographer who has exhibited and published internationally. She has also worked as a publisher, teacher, social worker, photojournalist, librarian and editor. In 2012, she founded the monthly writers series Wairarapa Word which she continues to coordinate. She has held the RAK Mason Fellowship, and was a Finalist for the Parkin Prize.
