Managing Editor

Michelle Elvy’s books include the small novel in small forms, the everrumble (2019), and the hybrid collection of stories, the other side of better (2021). Michelle is founder of National Flash Fiction Day and Flash Frontier: An Adventure in Short Fiction, and she has served as reviews editor of Landfall (2020-22) and takahē (2018-20). She has co-edited Bonsai: Best small stories from Aotearoa New Zealand (CUP, 2018), Ko Aotearoa Tātou | We Are New Zealand (OUP, 2020), Breach of All Size: Small stories on Ulysses, love and Venice (The Cuba Press, 2022), A Cluster of Lights: 52 writers around the world (Pure Slush, 2022), A Kind of Shelter (MUP, 2023) and the internationally acclaimed Best Small Fictions series (since 2015). Michelle teaches online at 52|250 A Year of Writing and is a mentor and assessor for the NZ Society of Authors annual programmes (youth and adult). She lives in Ōtepoti Dunedin. michelleelvy.com
